Social/Positive Impact: The BizHack Hackathon has a positive social impact by enhancing the positive perception of entrepreneurship and empowering local entrepreneurial initiatives. This project brings together teams of young IT specialists, economists, and designers to develop creative and practical solutions for identified challenges in the field of entrepreneurship.
Introduction:
Smion (ex. Lean Startup Croatia) organized an online hackathon, known as BizHack Hackathon, for the Croatian Chamber of Economy (HGK). This hackathon aimed to gather talented teams consisting of young IT specialists, economists, and designers to develop creative and practical solutions for identified challenges in entrepreneurship. The hackathon took place entirely online, and out of 28 submitted ideas, 6 teams made it to the finals. The most successful solutions include the eLimun mobile application for administrative tasks, the Tvrtko chatbot, and the FT1P platform for administrative assistance.
Results/Achievements:
BizHack Hackathon achieved impressive results:
- 110 participants, including mentors and trainers, took part.
- 28 ideas were submitted for the hackathon.
- 6 teams competed in the finals.
- 1156 votes were recorded during public voting.
- The event website received 3500 visits.
- 185,000 impressions were achieved, indicating a significant reach of the project.
BizHack Hackathon serves as a successful example of an online hackathon that fosters creativity and innovation in entrepreneurship, positively impacting the entrepreneurial community.
